Our Story
Launching the first bingo game was truly a family affair. The game was developed during the pandemic as a way for the 30 Doyle family members, located around Texas and in Australia, to stay connected with each other and connect with “Roro” the 94-year-old matriarch of the family. The game was played via Zoom during the past several months
Each family member suggested their favorite Texas symbol to be included in the game. There was a lively discussion and voting among the family on which symbol truly represents the state. Many of the symbols have been officially designated by the Texas Legislature. On the back of each calling card is a fun fact about the Lone Star State.
Kathy Thomas, solicited help from her niece Kristi Anderson from San Antonio to illustrate the original, colorful cards and her daughter-in-law, Kalee of Dallas to design the game.
Once the bingo game was launched, developing the Texas Playing Cards were easy. Since Uncle Greg would tell spooky stories around the bonfire about the legendary chupacabra, Thomas had to include the mythical creature in the cards and of course the chupacabras are illustrated on the joker cards.
Creating the 1,000-piece puzzle was a great way to highlight the popular colorful folk art icons.
The extended Doyle family loves the Texas coast. Making a Beach Bingo game was another fun-filled project. Kathy’s sister Sharon Doyle, of San Antonio illustrated the vibrant animals, shells, fish, mammals, plants and more that can be found in and around the ocean.
Adding the Beach Playing Cards was an easy addition to the inventory. The Jolly Roger flag, the Skull and Swords represented the Joker cards for the game.
Since the family puts together puzzles at the beach, a 1,000-piece beach puzzle had to be added to the product mix.
